Hi Laura,

I am glad you found that post useful. People often find that practising with a friend observing can help a lot. It probably just gets you more used to it, so the brain can go onto autopilot while the psyche is coping with the fear. Lee

Hi Lee

I am required to read a prepared speech at a very formal occasion. I will definitely be using your tips. In addition, I am quite nervous.

Keep up the great training courses. I have done two with you.

regards

Thank you for referencing the post on Saying What You Mean! Sound advice to focus on influence instead of persuasion. In business today, building trusting relationships is the key to long term success. Most persuasion techniques leverage nuances of social psychology to gain short-term compliance. They do not contribute to longer term relationships.

Thanks for the mention. Although I had this virtual chat nearly two years ago, the issue remains the same: how do we keep up with the rapidly changing pace of technology. I'm currently trying to learn Illustrator and Flash. One of my colleagues recommended doing a tutorial a week. If you pace yourself, you can keep learning. If you try to do everything at once, it overwhelms you.
